The first day

ok soooo... the first couple of days have been a little stressful... they started off with my parents taking me to houston. Of course I'm going to forget something. That is a given. Unfortunately i forgot something pretty important. I am going to Europe in the winter, and forgot my coat. deathh. So i realized this halfway to Houston. I call Josh to get him to try and ship it to where i am staying in Maastricht. I can deal for a few days without one, and all will be fine. The cost to ship my coat was over double the price of the coat. Soo thats not gonna happen. So we looked around for a little while to see if there was some coat store near the airport in Houston. No luck. SO i'm just going to buy one here as soon as i find one i like. The plane was actually pretty great. Not a lot of turbulance, so didnt have a lot of problems. I just could not sleep. Only slept about an hour on a 9 hour flight. when we got to Amsterdam, it was 1 o clock our time, and 8 am The Netherlands time. SO we were a little out of it. Took a bus down to Maastricht, and stopped halfway to eat lunch. We all had to go to the restroom and found out that you have to pay for everything here. Bathroom usage, butter, all drinks (because they usually dont serve tap water). o well! then headed to maastricht, put our luggage in our rooms and headed back out to take a little tour of the surrounding area. We got to see where the grocery store is, some shopping and how to get around a little. That was very helpful. We had dinner that night.. (ugh) and went to sleep around 830. It was wonderful! The next morning we headed out to london! all the details about london on the next blog but i'm a little too tired to write it right now. look at my pictures on facebook! We had a great time!
